About these earbuds
- Bluetooth earbuds with ear hooks
DunRock Air are open-ear Bluetooth earbuds designed for comfort, good sound and awareness of your surroundings. The open-ear design lets you hear what's happening around you, handy outdoors, on the go and while running. The sound is surprisingly full for this type of earbud, with a large 17×12 mm driver and Dynamic EQ for extra bass.
The soft silicone ear hooks stay secure without pinching. That makes these comfortable wireless earbuds for everyday use: working, traveling, walking and running.
Calls stay clear, even in busy places. DunRock Air has 4 microphones with AI noise reduction and wind reduction, so your voice comes through more clearly on the street, at the office or outdoors.
Bluetooth 6.0 with multipoint gives you a modern, stable connection. You can connect to two devices at once and easily switch between your phone and laptop, for example.
For outdoor use, they're IPX5 splash-resistant: built to handle sweat and rain. Battery life is long: up to 50 hours total, with up to 10 hours from the earbuds and 40 hours from the charging case. Charge via USB-C, with fast charging to get you going again quickly.
The DunRock app puts you in control: adjust the EQ, change the controls and find your earbuds if you lose them.

Frequently asked questions
Who are open-ear earbuds for?
Open-ear earbuds are a good fit if you move a lot, take frequent calls, walk outdoors or find your earbuds often fall out. They don't block your ear canal, so you hear your surroundings alongside your music or podcast. That's handy outdoors, where you can hear traffic, and on calls, where you can hear your own voice.
Why choose ear hooks?
Ear hooks give you a much more secure fit. Regular earbuds rely on the ear tip inside your ear to stay in place, so they can fall out more easily. These earbuds hook around your outer ear for extra support, making them very unlikely to fall out.
How does microphone ENC help me?
These earbuds have ENC in their microphones, so people on your calls hear more of your voice and less background noise. Handy for calls or online meetings in fairly noisy places. ENC stands for environmental noise canceling.
Can I adjust the volume with the controls?
Yes, adjust the volume with the controls without reaching for your phone. Handy when your favorite song comes on.
Can I connect them to my laptop too?
They connect to any laptop with compatible Bluetooth. Handy for working from home and online meetings.
Can the earbuds handle rain?
Yes, your earbuds are splashproof. Always dry them before putting them back in the charging case. That goes for all earbuds.
Can I use them with the DunRock app?
Yes, with the DunRock app for iOS and Android. Unique at this price. Customize the controls, adjust your sound with an equalizer (for more bass, for example), set a sleep timer (say, 30 min.), and get updates for years, plus more.
When is open-ear not a good fit?
Open-ear earbuds let you hear your surroundings clearly, so they're less suited to noisy places. At a gym with loud music or on a plane with roaring engines? Earbuds with active noise canceling (ANC) are a better choice.

Good earbuds
After a long search and trying lots of different ones, I ended up with these earbuds. They're comfortable, connect without any hassle, and the sound is surprisingly good for something that doesn't sit in your ear and is affordable. I could wear them all day right away without my ears hurting. Another plus is that you don't have to use both earbuds, even with one in the case, the other works just fine.

Do what they're supposed to
I bought these for 1 specific reason: the Dunrock Bubble Pro I bought a few months earlier didn't work properly and Eardopes customer service couldn't offer anything beyond 'try a factory reset' (with instructions for an older model). So I got nowhere with that, hence a new set of earbuds. The sound of the earbuds is fine in itself. The controls too, and people can hear me clearly on phone calls. Still 3 stars because the fit is a bit... odd. The ear hook is made of flexible material. On the one hand, that's nice because they're always comfortable. On the other hand, it's a bit awkward because they don't sit snugly against your ear (the earbuds don't always seal properly. One good thing: they're lightweight and easy to control through the app. In short: they do what they're supposed to and the sound is fine, but the fit could still be improved.
