Here are the pros and cons of the Jabra Elite 7 Pro, so you can quickly see whether these earbuds are right for you.
| Pros | Cons |
| ✔️ Fantastic microphone ✔️ Fantastic sound ✔️ Very good fit |
❌Mids could be better |
⚖️ Save some time with our quick verdict.
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro are among the best earbuds we've tested. Their light weight and round ear tips give them an outstanding fit. The sound is excellent and, above all, balanced. We'd like the mids to be more prominent, but the excellent app lets you adjust the equalizer to your liking. The microphone is unmatched: truly fantastic. We think the ANC is about the same as on the previous model. All in all, a good pair of high-end earbuds for everyday use and online meetings.

Jabra Elite 7 Pro sound quality
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro sound fantastic. Clear and balanced, just as we've come to expect from Jabra. The sound is full, with individual notes easy to pick out. That's surprising, since these earbuds weigh less than their predecessors. More on that later.
Listening to music with Jabra earbuds always feels like coming home. You'll love your favorite music even more when you hear it through these earbuds. The quality really stands out!

But the Elite 7 Pro do differ from their predecessors, the Elite 85t. Those earbuds had more bass.
That left us a little disappointed during our first short test. After testing a bit longer, though, we found you can almost completely fix this by adjusting the equalizer. Boost the mids quite a bit and suddenly everything falls into place, at least to our ears.
So we preferred the mids on the 85t by a small margin. But the sound of the Elite 7 Pro is still excellent.
Sound quality score: 8
You can also take a kind of hearing test using MySound in Jabra's Sound+ app. Tap your screen each time you hear a beep. The app then assesses your hearing and chooses the best settings for you. A gimmick, right? I can hear you thinking it. That's exactly what I thought. But the settings the app chose after my test sound far better than the EQ settings I configured myself. So the app is another big advantage of these earbuds.
Microphone: are the Jabra Elite 7 Pro good for calls?
Jabra is a Danish brand with a strong focus on meeting equipment, such as headsets. And Jabra has brought that technology to the Elite 7 Pro earbuds.
Bone conduction is a technology that delivers sound by sending vibrations through your skull. I only knew it as a way to play sound, not record it. But Jabra is changing that.
Microphone score: 9
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro pick up vibrations from your skull to capture your voice more clearly. And wow, it works! Listen to this clip we recorded with the earbuds:
You can hear it for yourself: so far, no other earbuds record better sound through their microphones.
Each earbud has 2 microphones. Jabra's engineers have also developed a new algorithm that removes background noise. That's a very welcome addition to any pair of earbuds.
Fit: how comfortable are the Jabra Elite 7 Pro?
The fit of the Jabra 7 Pro is a huge improvement over previous models. The earbuds are lighter and smaller, and Jabra has returned to round ear tips after trying oval ones. The Jabra Elite 7 Pro are also a great match for an upgrade with Eardopes foam ear tips for Jabra Elite 7 Pro. These memory foam ear tips expand like cushions in your ears. They absorb the impact of your footsteps and channel sound into your ears even better.
Lighter
The Elite 7 Pro weigh 6 grams on our scale. The previous model weighed 7 grams. You notice that difference when wearing them. You can wear these earbuds for hours and almost forget they're there. That wasn't the case with the 85t. The 75t had a much better fit than the 85t, but the Elite 7 Pro have the best fit of any Jabra earbuds we've tested so far. They're genuinely comfortable.
Round ear tips
Jabra has gone back to round. After a brief detour into oval shapes, the ear tips are round again. And that was a very good move! They feel more comfortable, seal better and keep the earbuds more secure. Well done!
Smaller
The earbuds have also become smaller since the last release. That's another welcome improvement. The smaller they are, the less you notice them while wearing them. They simply get in the way less. Add the low weight to that...
Fit score: 9,5
We have to give these earbuds a very high score for fit. Jabra has made real progress in shrinking the components for a better fit without compromising sound quality.
Did you know the Jabra Elite 7 Pro are the successors to the Elite 75t & the Elite 85t? Here's a handy side-by-side comparison from Eardopes.com.

ANC: how good is the noise canceling?
Like their predecessors, these earbuds have ANC: active noise cancelling. This technology filters out surrounding noise. Press the button on the left earbud to turn noise canceling on.
These earbuds also have a transparency mode. Jabra calls it HearTrough. A microphone in the earbud picks up surrounding sounds, amplifies them and plays them into your ear.
That makes phone calls and online meetings much easier. This mode turns on when the microphone is in use, including on your laptop. It makes talking while wearing in-ear earbuds much easier.

Nice that Jabra makes guilt-free packaging, right? To be fair, everything is very neatly packed.
Back to the ANC we're testing. We think the Elite 7 Pro offer exactly the same level of noise canceling as their predecessors, the 85t.
ANC score: 7,5
It's also clever that ANC comes after transparency mode when cycling through the options. That makes the ANC seem even more effective.
Earbud controls
These are Jabra earbuds, and Jabra almost always chooses buttons rather than touch controls. Although both can work well, we're leaning toward Jabra's approach.
Nice big buttons, no jokes please, that you can't miss. It's also important that buttons are easy to press. A stiff button is bad news for your ear canal: you end up pushing the earbud farther in, which doesn't feel good.
Controls: 8
You can fully customize the earbud controls in the app. We've mentioned it a few times already, but it's worth repeating: if you buy Jabra earbuds, make sure you download Jabra's Sound+ app too. It lets you adjust everything to your liking. Other earbud brands could learn from it: equalizer, controls, a hearing test for the best sound settings and more.
How do the Jabra Elite 7 Pro touch controls work*?
| Left | Right | |
| 1x | ANC/HearThrough/Off | Pause/play |
| 2x | Next track | Voice assistant |
| 3x | Previous track | Nothing |
|
Press and hold |
Volume down | Volume up |
*You can set up the controls however you like in the app.
With the app, your earbuds become more of a little helper in your ear. You decide how you want to use them. Say you're out walking with your favorite podcast playing. You stop for groceries and want to talk to the cashier at checkout. Press the left earbud 1 time and HearThrough mode turns on, letting you hear your surroundings. You don't need to take your earbuds out while packing your groceries to have a proper conversation. The cashier's voice is amplified in your ears. That could be very pleasant or not so pleasant, depending on the cashier. Either way, being able to use your earbuds like this is ideal. In short: these aren't just earbuds, they're earbuddies.
Battery: how long can you use the earbuds?
You can use the earbuds for about 8 hours at high volume with ANC on. ANC uses a little more battery power. The charging case gives you another 22 hours of use. Those are decent figures, although I still think Jabra could fit a bigger battery in the earbud. Surely earbuds in this price range should offer 700+ mAh? And these earbuds have (...). It's impossible to find their battery capacity in mAh. If Jabra were proud of the number, wouldn't they be shouting it from the rooftops?
My guess is that the charging case holds about 450 mAh and the earbuds 50mAh*. But that really is just a guess. If you know the battery capacity of these earbuds in mAh, send us a message! We'd love to know. And of course, we'll update this article.
Edit: We asked Jabra about the battery capacity and, yes, we got an answer. The Jabra Elite 7 Pro have the following batteries:
- Per earbud: 70 mAh
- Charging case: 620 mAh
To be fair, that's much better than we expected. At 70 mAh, each earbud is slightly above average for this price range, and 620 mAh is 120 mAh more than we'd expected. So that's good too. It's certainly an improvement over the 75t and the 85t.
The charging case has a new design, but it looks just as good. Jabra always makes attractive charging cases. The magnets also pull the earbuds neatly into place. Putting them back feels satisfying. Know what I mean?
The lid closes nicely too. No complaints there. I also really like the usb C port. I wouldn't have expected anything else, but in 2021 it's still worth mentioning. No micro usb, just usb-C. That's good too.
Battery score: 6,5
A 5-minute charge gives you 20 minutes of listening. That's pretty convincing too.
Conclusion: are the Jabra Elite 7 Pro good?
| Rating | |
| Sound | 8 |
| Microphone | 9 |
| Fit | 9,5 |
| Battery | 6,5 |
| Controls | 8 |
| ANC | 7,5 |
The Jabra Elite 7 Pro deliver beautifully balanced, clear sound. The mids could be more prominent, but the equalizer quickly fixes that. The microphone is truly phenomenal and unmatched. Very good, in short. The fit is a big improvement over the previous model: lighter, smaller and back to round ear tips, thankfully. A good set of foam ear tips makes these earbuds even more comfortable. The battery is nothing special, but certainly not below par. As always with Jabra, the controls are very good and customizable. The ANC is as good as on the previous model. All in all, the Jabra Elite 7 Pro are a very good pair of earbuds.
Alternatives

Jabra Elite 75t vs. Elite 7 Pro
Although the Jabra Elite 75t are about a year and a half old, we still think they're excellent earbuds. They're fairly small, have round ear tips and sound good. The charging case is nicely compact too.
The latest Elite 7 pro are much more comfortable, though. Everything also works a little faster. Connecting and responding to the controls: it's all very quick.
The new Elite 7 Pro housing uses more plastic, while the Elite 75t had a thin metal layer on the housing. That made them sturdier, but also heavier. We definitely prefer the latest version.
Jabra Elite 85t vs. Elite 7 Pro
The 85t may have a slight edge in sound. Their mids come through better. But that's about it. The Elite 7 Pro have a better fit, better construction and a much better microphone. That makes the choice easy for us: the Elite 7 pro are better.
