MPOW M30 sound
The MPOW M30 sound particularly full and powerful. The earbuds feel quite light in your hand, but their sound has real weight.
Lots of bass. You have to like that. Thankfully, it isn't overpowering. At least, not so much that the rest of the sound (treble and mids) disappears completely. Just a little.

Still, we'd have liked the subwoofer turned down a little. Slightly less bass would have done the M30's sound some good. But if you need Bluetooth earbuds to get you pumped up at the gym, these are a great choice!
Sound quality score: 7
Otherwise, the sound is nice and clear. The treble comes through well. The mids get a little washed out by the subwoofer. Overall, the sound is perfectly decent. Strong and powerful.
Microphone: are the MPOW M30 good for calls?
MPOW earbuds usually have a decent microphone. With the MPOW M30, though, we ran into a problem. Every time we recorded a clip, we could hear our voice cutting out.
Microphone score: 5
Listen to how the M30's volume keeps dropping out:
So the microphone is a disappointment. Hopefully, this problem is limited to our pair. It's not something we often encounter with MPOW. Having the same issue? Let us know in the comments.

Fit: how do the MPOW M30 feel?
The MPOW M30 have a sort of guardrail built around the earbuds. It rests against your outer ear to provide extra stability.
Fit score: 7.5
Believe it or not, it works really well! The rubber supports hold the earbuds securely in your ears. We think they're even a good choice for running.

The rubber support around the side of these earbuds isn't something we've seen before. Unlike the familiar ear fin.
And we're always happy to see innovation! That's why we've given the MPOW M30 a good score for fit.
Earbud controls
Looking at the MPOW M30 earbuds, you'd think they had buttons. But they don't: they have touch controls.
You can control everything: next/previous track, volume, answering calls, voice control, and more.
Controls: 7
How do the MPOW M30 touch controls work?
| Left | Right | |
| 1x | Volume down | Volume up |
| 2x | Music: pause/play Calls: answer/hang up |
Music: pause/play Calls: answer/hang up |
| 3x | Voice assistant/Siri | Voice assistant/Siri |
| 1.5 sec. | Previous track/video | Next track/video |
|
4+ sec. |
Power off/on | Power off/on |
So the controls are well thought out.
Battery: how long can you use the earbuds?
The charging case has a 500mAh battery. That's a decent capacity. More than the average QCY earbuds. For us, 500 mAh is the minimum for a good score. And the higher, the better.

The earbuds themselves have 40mAh batteries. That's a little on the low side, but good enough. Nothing special, then. The chipset (AB1536U) isn't known for being power-efficient.
You can use the earbuds for about 4 hours on a full charge.
Conclusion: are the MPOW M30 any good?
| Rating | |
| Sound | 7 |
| Microphone | 5 |
| Fit | 7 |
| Battery | 6 |
| Controls | 7 |
| Stability | 7 |
The MPOW M30 are decent earbuds. They sound good, with more bass than average. The microphone let us down: our voice occasionally cut out. The fit is unusual but good. The rubber supports around the earbuds improve the fit. Battery life is decent, but nothing special.
Alternatives
MPOW M30 vs. MPOW Flame Solo
The MPOW Flame Solo are designed more for running. Overall, we're very pleased with them. The sound is less dominated by the subwoofer, and the fit is ideal for running.
