What stands out? The battery capacity of the charging case: 600 mAh! That stands out. Comparable earbuds often contain half that battery capacity. The earbud itself has a slightly smaller battery with 40 mAh. But still fine.
How do the SoundPEATS TrueAir fit in your ear?
The Truengine TrueAir are half in-ear wireless earphones. So they don't have a soft silicone tip that goes into your ear canal. You place the entire plastic housing of the earbuds against (not in) your ear canal.
Fit: 6
What is striking about the fit is that they are a bit looser in my (editor of Eardopes) ear. And that is not purely because they are half in-ear earbuds. Other half in ears (such as the Airpods or the QCY T7) stay in place a little better. They don't fall out so much. Not even when I shake my head back and forth. But it feels like the earbuds are hanging from an abyss (or in this case, my ear) with one hand. Maybe it is partly because the fabric (the plastic) ivory feels soft to the touch. The wireless earbuds don't have a rough coat that catches some grip.
All in all, the fit just gets to a pass. The wireless earphones simply remain in place, but it still doesn't feel completely good.
Sound quality of the SoundPEATS TrueAir
Sound quality score: 6
The TrueAir have nice clear sound. Especially the mid tones and high tones come out nicely. Exactly these are the tones in which SoundPEATS increasingly excels.
Half in ears always have a little less bass. This is because the sound cannot be properly guided into the ear canal. And the low tones are the first to die.
But we cannot just blame the lack of low tones on the half in ears. Comparable earphones (also half in ears) have slightly more low tones.
Microphone: calling and video calling with SoundPEATS TrueAir
Microphone score: 8
SoundPEATS is known for good microphones. And the SoundPEATS TrueAir is no exception. The earbuds ensure that your conversation partner hears you loud and clear. And that while no advanced techniques are involved. No noise filter and no wind catchers.
But when the wind blows it becomes a bit more difficult for a conversation partner to understand you. You will hear a little more noise. But you can still be heard. And that is a great job for wireless earphones of this price category.
Touch controls of the TrueAir
The operation of these SoundPEATS TrueAir earphones are really very good! You only have to tap lightly and the earbuds respond. And they respond very quickly. Sometimes half in ear earbuds only responde after a second after your touch.
Controls score: 8
The earphones therefore have touch controls. No buttons. No surprise: the majority of SoundPEATS earphones have touch controls.
Hoe werkt de touch control van de SoundPEATS TrueAir?

3x | Voice assist/Siri | Voice assist/Siri |

The operation is exactly as with other earbuds from SoundPEATS such as the Truengine 3 SE.
Battery: For how long can you use the earbuds?
With one full charge of the 600 mAh you can listen to music for 30 hours in total. And that's a lot!
Battery: 8
Although the earbuds only have 40 mAh of battery, you can use them for more than 5 hours. That's a nice score for these types of earbuds. The competition (other half in-ear wireless earbuds) cannot match that kind of performance.
The charging case also feels very premium. Everything is right. The light that comes on when you open the box, the clicking of the lid when it closes: It feels like earphones costing around 100 euros.
Conclusion: are the SoundPEATS TrueAir any good?
The SoundPEATS TrueAir excel in battery, operation and microphone. The sound is slightly below average for half in-ear earbuds and compared to in-ear earbuds, these earbuds clearly have less bass. The TrueAir feels very premium.

SoundPEATS TrueAir vs. QCY T7
Firstly, the QCY T7 is a lot cheaper. Second, they are a lot better in terms of sound. Especially the lower tones come through better. Only the TrueAir feels more premium. Both the box and the earbuds themselves. The TrueAir's battery is much better. Namely almost double the number of mAh.
